Small Hydro Power with Large Potential

The immense abundance of flowing water resources can’t be underestimated as a key to unlock sustainable power generation. Investing in Small Hydro Projects is highly recommended by the Government, not only for Power generation but also to ensure environmental preservation. Small Hydroelectric Power Projects are small-scale plants serving a small community or industrial plants as a source of low-cost renewal energy. Small Hydroelectric Projects usually have no bondage of water and have minimal civil construction work, they are seen as having a relatively low environmental impact as compared to the large Hydro Projects.

Hydropower is left unused at many regions across the Himalayas. For a better future, we must stand together with the MNRE & the State Government to make it useful for us as well as upcoming generations.
